Welcome to the website of Icarus Badminton Club.
We are a friendly club of approximately 30 members, playing each Wednesday night from 7.30pm to 10pm at Hitchin Boys' School Sports Centre. Our league season runs from the beginning of September to the end of May, and we run a summer club from June to August.
In addition to club night games, many members play in local league matches. These matches are played on Tuesday nights 8-10pm at Fearnhill School Sports Centre, Letchworth. We have teams in the following leagues:
- Stevenage Badminton League, division 2
- Letchworth and District Badminton League, division 2
- Biggleswade League (mens)
Fancy A Game?
If you'd like to join us for a game or two then you're welcome to come along and visit (up to 3 times) before deciding whether or not to join as a fully paid up member. Visitors are asked to pay £4 per visit to cover court costs, but if you join then these payments can be deducted from the annual subscription.
Visitors are kindly asked to email enquiries@icarusbadmintonclub.org.uk before attending. This is so we can manage court congestion and ensure everyone gets to play a good amount of badminton during the evening.
